Hampton Inn Minneapolis/St. Paul-Woodbury

Avoid this hotel, you'll be disappointed. My toilet didn't flush (I had to repair the handle on it myself). My show soap dispenser was empty the whole stay. I could not get any replacement towels (there is not a housekeeper in sight). The hot water dispenser for tea (in the lobby) was cold every night for the four nights I was here. I asked about it, the desk said "huh?". Breakfast this morning was ice cold omelets and kielbasa- there was no heat under the chafing dish, although there was an attendant there wandering about. At one point there was a waffle machine (the dispenser is there, but no waffle iron). One of my co-workers needed to stay an extra night due to changed travel plans. He tried to book another room (they had availability), but they WOULD NOT LET HIM simply stay in the room he was in- they required that he move out, and come back after check-in. The woman at the desk said this is because the room was booked via a 3rd party, so he would need to call the 3rd party to make the arrangement to stay in the same room. It was a bit absurd. If it seems like I'm just quibbling over nothing or whining about my breakfast, please understand that it was the apathy and ubiquity of the issues that made it so annoying- they make no effort to be more than a budget property. I won't be back.

Very comfortable large rooms. The bed is high and mattress is firm and i would say luxury douvet and pillows. The pool area is large with plenty of chairs, but does not have a hot tub. There is no microwave in the room.

It was good but the male staff for the night was just plain mute. He really did not respond verbally much to what I said but just gathered details for checking in and letting me go. It was not a bad experience though. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a good night sleep and a good breakfast.

Felix, the Manager, is an amazing individual. He will make you feel welcomed and he is super professional. The rooms are clean and organized, all is stocked. The location is great also. If it was possible to give a 10 stars, specially towards Felix, I would. Thank you!

Been staying here for about a week, the rooms are decent, beds are comfy, food is good and the staff is what glues this place together. The comment below that Tim had stated is a BIT dramatic. There isn’t dust, the ladies clean the rooms every morning. I walk down for breakfast and they clean every morning when you check out. I walk past the doors and they smell perfect of cleaning products. The high school basketball team was loud, yes, but to ask 1 girl to do something about 40 people is insane. Ask the parents! The breakfast is fine every morning, wake up a little earlier and you’ll get what you need. Expecting to have food after 40-60 teenage male basketball players come through is just insane. The staff is amazing, nice and feel like family. Don’t let one bad comment ruin your night here, it’s a cozy place.

This hotel is simple awesome! Full of workers ready to help with a Great Customer Service, it’s a place where you can feel you are at home! All the staff without exception are professionals, extremely kind, with a high sense of wonderful service! For me best Hampton Inn ever!! I highly recommend this place!!!

Pros: Super friendly staff, excellent complimentary breakfast, comfortable bed and seating, lots of power outlets/USB ports, inexpensive overnight stay, but... Cons: Pet fee charge for dog ($50), room needed some renovations (peeling broken laminate in several places), shampoo dispenser was completely empty, and no whirlpool. Overall, nice hotel. Will stay again.

Enjoyed our four-night stay in a two-queen bed, non-smoking room. All the front desk staff we met were friendly and helpful. Hotel common areas and our room were clean. The room was well-stocked with towels, toilet paper and the little coffeemaker in the room was clean. I gave four-stars for the room because: it lacked an arm chair; the furniture veneer was peeled off in several spots; the bedside lampshades did not match-one was white and one was ivory; and several areas on the wall had chipped-off paint. There is a big sign in the lobby saying renovations coming soon. Hallways were all freshly carpeted and painted so hoping the next renovations are the guest rooms. Despite the above, I would definitely stay here again.
